My name is
Mariel and I am majoring in Biology. I’ve spent most of my life in Colorado and couldn’t imagine it any other way. My hobbies include music, traveling (as much
as possible) and spending time in the mountains. Any day I get to hike or ski
is a good day!
For my blog
I chose Thingvellir, a national park in
southwestern Iceland,
about 25 miles northeast of Reykjavík. I have always
been interested in the country of Iceland, particularly the Northern Lights,
and it is on my very long bucket list of places to visit. Since it’ s discovery
by the Vikings in the ninth century, the park has come to become one of the
most visited attractions in Iceland. Thingverllir National Park has a rich
history and many unique geographical features. I am looking forward to
exploring this beautiful park further and sharing with you all!
